GRINGO: The revolutionary all-terrain wheeled travel bag just launched on Kickstarter!

GRINGO Travel Bags proudly introduces the next revolution in luggage: a wheeled all-terrain travel bag that adapts to different terrains. GRINGO’s wheels are big and wide, and its unique – patent pending – wheel system allows you to provide the bag with more ground clearance depending on the surface that you’re traveling on. The GRINGO combines the comfort and practicality of a wheeled travel bag, with the adventure that was until now only reserved for backpacks. They have even included an innovative minimalistic shoulder strap solution. From now on, you can make your adventures truly unforgettable.

GRINGO is now ready for pre-orders on Kickstarter and they have already reached their goal in just 40 hours. Visit their Kickstarter page to pre-order the travel bag, meet the creators, and learn more about the next revolution in luggage here:

Founder Daan Kaptein (29) explains: “I love traveling, and I always used to travel with a backpack, because traditional wheeled bags are only great when roads are smooth as butter. But then an stubborn friend of mine convinced me and himself to bring a trolley bag with us on our adventure in Latin-America. It was so much more convenient than a backpack, but still also so burdensome when roads were not smooth. This journey gave me the idea for the GRINGO. Talking to many travelers gave me the insight how address the flaws in current wheeled bags: bigger wheels, more ground clearance and more adventure.”

GRINGO’s revolutionary wheel system lets you choose – with a simple and light press on the levers with your foot - between three different wheel positions, all specially designed for the different terrains that you may encounter: Smooth, Urban & Off-road. It’s a premium bag made with high-end materials, ready for any adventure. The travel fanatics behind the brand are also on a social mission: to build a community of proud and respectful travelers, as they believe in a world based on inclusion and diversity. Naming their company GRINGO addresses the beauty of traveling in relation to the increasing negativity against foreigners: “We’re all gringo’s (foreigners), and actively being a proud and respectful foreigner by traveling makes you a better person back home, as you’re less afraid of the unknown.”

Daan started working on the GRINGO three years ago, and he quit his job as a Category Manager at Unilever last September to really pursue his dream. He is now supported by his older brother Koen (32 – finance & strategy) and their friend Job Smits van Waesberghe (29 – digital marketing) as proud team members.
